TEHRAN An American political science professor charged the U.S. politicians with deceiving the world public opinion and supporting the racist Zionists.

Speaking in an interview with English service of the IRIB, Dr. Abdullah Mohammad Sindhi, a professor at Fullerton College, said that Zionism is actually based on racism. Referring to the U.S. blind support for the Zionists, the professor said that Washington openly violates the international law and human rights in order to please the Zionists.

Sindhi noted that although the American Jewish community constitutes only 2.5 percent of that country's population, the Zionist circles control the U.S. administration, the Congress, media and economic institutions.

The United States has threatened to boycott an upcoming UN conference entitled "World Conference Against Racism" in Durban, South African, if the agenda includes discussions on reparations for slavery and Zionism as racism.

Commenting in this regard, Sindhi said, "The United States itself is at the top of the list of racist countries, as it practiced slavery for so many years."

The professor also pointed out that Zionism is contrary to Judaism, and that many Jews are against Zionist ideas and feel ashamed to support the Zionist regime.

An Iranian delegation will also take part in the conference which is to be open on August 31 in the South African city of Durban.
